On a grievous day,

You have uttered a grievous thing

So announce to them a Penalty Grievous,

You know Grievous Bodily Harm? Just how bad do the injuries have to be before it counts as Grievous?

enveloping people. That will be a grievous scourge.

Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty

and a food that chokes, and a grievous chastisement.

Enveloping the people this will be a Penalty Grievous.

And a Food that chokes, and a Penalty Grievous.

(They will be told) You shall taste the grievous chastisement.

Which would envelope mankind. That would be a grievous affliction.

Surely I fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day

And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty.

We bear you bad tidings. Not too grievous though, I hope.

Surely these love the transitory and neglect a grievous day before them.

and warns those who deny the life to come with grievous punishment.

they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment.

Surely men love what hastes away and forget the grievous day (ahead).

They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty

They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement.

and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement.

We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment,

And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty.

and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.

And for their unbelief and for their having uttered against Marium a grievous calumny.

Say I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of a grievous day.

Say If I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a grievous Day.

O Lord, give them a double punishment, and put a grievous curse upon them.

But the Pharaoh disobeyed the apostle so We seized him with a grievous punishment.

Seek you help in patience and prayer, for grievous it is, save to the humble

Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day.

Say Surely I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of a grievous day.

Even though all the signs came to them, not till they face the grievous punishment.

Believers, shall I direct you to a commerce that will deliver you from a grievous chastisement?

Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter.

To the Hypocrites give the glad tidings that there is for them (but) a grievous penalty

Even if every Sign was brought unto them, until they see (for themselves) the penalty grievous.

(In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit but they will have a most grievous Penalty.

Allah has prepared for them a grievous punishment. Evil indeed is that which they have done.

Do not treat her unkindly or the punishment of a grievous day will fall on you.

The day that We shall seize them with a grievous hold, We will indeed castigate them.

Do you laugh along with the laugh track and let this grievous misinterpretation of irony go?

And do not touch her with evil, lest the punishment of a grievous day should overtake you.

They will abide in this (state) and grievous will the burden be to them on that Day,

The real sovereignty will belong to Ar Rahman. How grievous will be the day for the infidels!
