JONAH.

Jonah!

Hey, Jonah. Yeah.

Jonah was certainly a Messenger.

Jonah too was one of the Envoys

And Jonah was one of the messengers.

Jonah too was one of the messengers.

Indeed Jonah was one of the apostles.

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers.

And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles.

The air is close, and Jonah gasps.

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers.

And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers.

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us).

He's a prisoner, just like Jonah inside the whale.

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn)

But mark now, my shipmates, the behavior of poor Jonah.

He reads, and looks from Jonah to the bill while all his sympathetic shipmates now crowd round Jonah, prepared to lay their hands upon him.

'And God had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah.'

But WHAT is this lesson that the book of Jonah teaches?

Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord out of the fish's belly.

and Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah and Lot. Each We preferred above the worlds,

and Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot whom We exalted over all people.

Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah.

Jonah. But the sea rebels he will not bear the wicked burden.

Fear him, O Jonah? Aye, well mightest thou fear the Lord God

Ishmael and Elisha, Jonah and Lot each one We preferred above all beings

and Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah and Lot each We graced over all the nations

Yet when Jonah fairly takes out his purse, prudent suspicions still molest the

Jonah enters, and would lock the door, but the lock contains no key.

Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot We favoured each one of them above other people,

See ye not then, shipmates, that Jonah sought to flee world wide from God?

For sinful as he is, Jonah does not weep and wail for direct deliverance.

Sin not but if you do, take heed to repent of it like Jonah.

Ha! Jonah, that's another stab. But he swiftly calls away the Captain from that scent.

Not a forger, any way, he mutters and Jonah is put down for his passage.

'Point out my state room, Sir,' says Jonah now, 'I'm travel weary I need sleep.'

And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot and all of them We preferred over the worlds.

And Ishmael, and Elijah, and Jonah, and Lot We favored each one of them over all other people.

And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot. Each one (of them) did We prefer above (Our) creatures,

And now behold Jonah taken up as an anchor and dropped into the sea when instantly an oily calmness floats out from the east, and the sea is still, as Jonah carries down the gale with him, leaving smooth water behind.

With this sin of disobedience in him, Jonah still further flouts at God, by seeking to flee from Him.
