So here is the Sloan Digital Sky Survey showing the location of a million galaxies.

By mid 2000s, Sloan Digital Sky Survey obtained much higher quality data for a couple hundred million galaxies at first.

So today, of course, we know this with a much greater precision, and here is the projected map of density of galaxies from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, a modern perchet survey.

And, funded primarily through Sloan Foundation and others, we were able to actually go in, in our project we're one of 17 field programs and begin to take on tagging large numbers of predators, not just tunas.

These surveys of 1990s started revealing more interesting features in the galaxy distribution, but really, the state of the art was achieved by two large surveys at one in Australia, to two degree g survey, and a Sloan Digital Sky Survey.

And then confirmed, with Sloan Digital Sky Survey, there is a slight excess of power in clustering of galaxies on the scales that correspond now to that first Doppler The peak, except this is much later in the history of the universe.

The folks at the Sloan Digital Sky Survey told us last fall they're making the first map of the universe, three dimensional map of the universe that there are probably 700,000 asteroids between Mars and Jupiter that are a half a mile big or bigger.

Right now the Sloan Foundation has just funded a multi institutional study on this, to work out what the risk and benefits to society are, and the rules that scientific teams such as my own should be using in this area, and we're trying to set good examples as we go forward.
