I abhor spiders.

We abhor violence.

I abhor politics.

We abhor violence.

I abhor killing animals.

And nature really does abhor a vacuum.

He said verily I am of those who abhor your work.

It came in high school biology class the absolute abhor of innovation.

I become somebody whom I even abhor when I am with that person.

because they say to those who abhor what God has revealed, We will obey you in some matters. God knows their secrets.

Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth.

O ye who believe! Shun much suspicion for lo! some suspicion is a crime. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Ye abhor that (so abhor the other)! And keep your duty (to Allah). Lo! Allah is Relenting, Merciful.

They seek to extinguish Allah's light (by blowing) with their mouths, but Allah shall spread His light in all its fullness, howsoever the unbelievers may abhor this.

They want to extinguish God's light with their mouths, but God seeks only to perfect His light, no matter how those who deny the truth may abhor it.

Enjoined on you is fighting, and this you abhor. You may dislike a thing yet it may be good for you or a thing may haply please you but may be bad for you. Only God has knowledge, and you do not know.

O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible) for suspicion in some cases is a sin And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it... But fear Allah For Allah is Oft Returning, Most Merciful.

O you who believe! avoid most of suspicion, for surely suspicion in some cases is a sin, and do not spy nor let some of you backbite others. Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? But you abhor it and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, surely Allah is Oft returning (to mercy), Merciful.
