The magicians fell down in adoration

Adoration and admiration will overwhelm you.

Then the magicians fell prostrating in adoration,

But the sorcerers fell down prostrate in adoration.

Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him.

Then did the sorcerers fall down, prostrate in adoration,

She waits, in silent adoration, like a little dog.

And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration.

And the herbs and the trees both (alike) prostrate in adoration.

And when the Qur'an is recited to them do not bow in adoration?

Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing

Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord).

But one thing I can say is that it's a combination of iconoclasm and adoration.

But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.

Nay, heed him not But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)!

And during part of the night, (also,) celebrate His praises, and (so likewise) after the postures of adoration.

Paintings like The Adoration of the Magi reveal much more than a simple retelling of a biblical story.

O you who believe, bow in adoration, Worship your Lord and do what is good that you may find success.

The Day that the shin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to bow in adoration, but they shall not be able,

Say Believe in it or do not believe Those who were given knowledge before it bow in adoration when it is read out to them,

Only they believe in Our revelations who, when they are reminded, bow in adoration, and give praise to their Lord, and do not become arrogant.

Their eyes will be cast down, ignominy will cover them seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused).

Yet all of them are not alike. Among the people of the Book is a section upright, who recite the scriptures in the hours of the night and bow in adoration and pray,

Not all of them are alike Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (For the right) They rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration.

And eventually he must have got it perfect and it must have been beautiful... with all the praise and adoration he had coming. He had probably saved lives, after all. Who knows what would have happened if he hadn't been there?

Yet there are some who set up equals with God and adore them with the adoration due to God, but those who believe love God most. If only the wrongdoers could see, as they will see when they face the punishment, that all power belongs to God, and that God is severe in punishment.

Is he who payeth adoration in the watches of the night, prostrate and standing, bewaring of the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, (to be accounted equal with a disbeliever)? Say (unto them, O Muhammad) Are those who know equal with those who know not? But only men of understanding will pay heed.

When We said to the angels Bow before Adam in adoration, they all bowed but Iblis. He was one of the jinni and rebelled against his Lord's command. And yet you take him and his offspring as your friends instead of Me, even though they are your enemies. How sad a substitute for the evil doers!

These are (some of) those who were favoured by God among the prophets of the progeny of Adam, and of those We bore in the ark with Noah, and the offspring of Abraham and Israel, and of those We guided and We chose, for they bowed weeping in adoration when the revelations of Ar Rahman were recited to them.

Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord (like one who does not)? Say Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.

But I would say the discovery that really caught my imagination, my admiration, is the incredibly vivid drawing under this layer, brown layer, of The Adoration of the Magi. Here you see a handmade setting XYZ scanner with an infrared camera put on it, and just peering through this brown layer of this masterpiece to reveal what could have been underneath.

Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah did bestow His Grace, of the posterity of Adam, and of those who We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears.

Say (O Muhammad SAW) Who has forbidden the adoration with clothes given by Allah, which He has produced for his slaves, and At Taiyibat all kinds of Halal (lawful) things of food? Say They are, in the life of this world, for those who believe, (and) exclusively for them (believers) on the Day of Resurrection (the disbelievers will not share them). Thus We explain the Ayat (Islamic laws) in detail for people who have knowledge.

(In spite of such clear signs of the Oneness of Allah), there are people who set up equals and rivals with Allah and adore them with the adoration due to Allah. whereas the Believers adore Allah most ardently. Would that these transgressors could realize now what they will realize, when they will see the chastisement before them that power and authority wholly belong to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment!
