So that's our biologic approach right now.

The first is cellular therapies.

We have effective therapies now.

How about more targeted therapies for cancer?

The therapies will be improving faster than the remaining imperfections in the therapies are catching up with us.

We tried radical therapies normal doctors wouldn't touch.

What about getting to a total biologic knee replacement, not just the parts?

We'd like to get therapies better and more effective.

All of this understanding is leading to new strategies and therapies.

My company also develops alternative therapies to treat the psychological conditions.

Stem cell therapies may one day reduce the need for donor organs.

This is the field of biologic replacements, where we replace worn out parts with new, natural ones.

That is essentially what we've been doing for 50 years in immune therapies.

I'm saying that the rate of improvement of those therapies will be enough.

And so that's not going to be a solution that's going to get us global with biologic tissue.

In fact, our immune systems are these error prone complex biologic systems that can attack any normal tissue in the body.

We can strip that tissue very economically, and so this is how we can get biologic knee replacement to go global.

But still ways to go to get stem cells into patients, in terms of actual therapies for organs.

Physical therapies can be done, not only in the orthopedic center, but also in the houses of the people.

That in fact, the people who are young enough to benefit from these first therapies that give this moderate amount of life extension, even though those people are already middle aged when the therapies arrive, will be at some sort of cusp.

We can't just say, Well, if they're young enough to benefit from these therapies, then they'll live 30 years longer.

If you're already 100, or even if you're 80 and an average 80 year old, we probably can't do a lot for you with these therapies, because you're too close to death's door for the really initial, experimental therapies to be good enough for you.

So, in other words, we add two years we treble their remaining lifespan, starting from the point that we started the therapies.

A high death rate will, of course, arise from simply rejecting these therapies, in favor of carrying on having a lot of kids.

My father and my grandfather were always looking for the newest thing in alternative or traditional therapies for PH, but after six months,

Sometimes they're therapies that remove some of the signs that are causing the problem and have been used in the process of the disease.

There are of course plenty of studies going on around the world which are more indirectly focus on the eventual hopeful development of anti aging therapies

And then we do a whole bunch of stuff to them, and with those therapies, we get them to live, on average, to their fifth birthday.

Because, you know, most people, when they hear that I predict that a lot of people alive today are going to live to 1,000 or more, they think that I'm saying that we're going to invent therapies in the next few decades that are so thoroughly eliminating aging that those therapies will let us live to 1,000 or more.

Now, obviously the jury is out on many of these complementary therapies, and I personally doubt that the coffee enema will ever, you know, gain mainstream approval.

What would that actually mean for how long people of various ages today or equivalently, of various ages at the time that these therapies arrive would actually live?

We will always have the possibility of dying from old age even when this therapies exist, just as today we have the possibility of dying of polio or tuberculosis.

Essentially all work bio gerontology within the study of understanding aging, it's with an eventual hope that our understanding will lead us to be able to develop future therapies.

If we vacillate, hesitate, and do not actually develop these therapies, then we are condemning a whole cohort of people who would have been young enough and healthy enough to benefit from those therapies, but will not be, because we haven't developed them as quickly as we could we'll be denying those people an indefinite life span, and I consider that that is immoral.

I was also doing cancer research, immune based therapies for melanoma, to be specific, and in that world I was actually taught to question everything, to challenge all assumptions and hold them to the highest possible scientific standards.

And if we can get in at the bottom and understand the genetics, we'll have a window on the way the disease works, and a whole new way about thinking about disease therapies and preventative treatment and so on.
