Tortoise?

Tortoise? What's that?

A hare raced with a tortoise.

The hare was outdistanced by the tortoise.

You look down and see a tortoise.

Does anybody know how old the oldest tortoise is any guesses?

No, 175 is the oldest living tortoise, so nowhere near 2,000.

Over on the right, I've doodled the tortoise and the hare.

The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the sun ... beating its legs, trying to turn itself over, but it can't ... not without your help.

This bears reference to one of Aesop's fables a Greek writer from times long ago in which the hare, although in some sense faster was relatively lazy and was eventually beaten out by the tortoise.
