A spilled Latte Macchiato is not a Latte Macchiato.

That is, when the Latte Macchiato lands on the customers' table.

The lower third represents the price for making the Latte Macchiato.

So what am I actually paying for, when I order a Latte Macchiato?

Would you like a macchiato, or a latte, or an Americano, or a cappuccino?

Are you not aware that I get farty and bloated with a foamy latte?

This tax is not paid by whoever brings the Latte Macchiato, but by whoever drinks it.

today minus taxes, then plus the basic income. ( The cost of the Latte Macchiato has stayed the same too.)

I can come into work everyday and staple five pieces of paper and just stare at it with my latte.

And so it's reliable, real data that's right in my face, where I am, so I can finish the latte.

Now I don't know about you, but I go to Starbucks and Pete's and places like that, and venti latte in San Francisco is five dollars.

So let me come back, with this sense of hope, to the two billion people still trying to live each day on less than the price of a skinny latte from the cafe next door.

Because if the waiter drops his tray on his way over to the table, no value is generated at all, although a lot of work has gone into getting the Latte Macchiato from the Alpine slopes to the table.

I mean, here you have these guys who basically thought they were just following this hunch, this little passion that had developed, then they thought they were fighting the Cold War, and then it turns out they're just helping somebody find a soy latte.

So I was having a coffee in Portland, and half of a latte in and the little board in the cafe all of a sudden starts showing me that the next bus is coming in three minutes and the train is coming in 16 minutes.
