And the scattering wind scattering.

Scattering

by the scatterers scattering

Scattering far and wide.

By the scatterers (the wind) scattering,

and by the scatterers scattering (rain)

By those winds scattering dust dispersing

And when the stars fall, scattering,

By the scattering winds that scatter the clouds

The farmers were scattering seed on the fields.

The farmer is scattering seeds over the field.

As usual the peasants are busy scattering grain seeds.

There's also the BSSRDFs which stands for Bidirectional Surface Scattering Reflectance

Insulators have a diffuse term because the photons undergo subsurface scattering.

The ball is like a nucleus, and the volcano is the scattering effect.

One other extremely important material that has this sort of scattering is skin.

The effect of subsurface scattering lessens as the viewer's distance from the object increases.

In fact the diffuse component for all non metallic materials comes from subsurface scattering.

It's just that in many cases this scattering is over an imperceptably small distance.
