I got a nasty sting from a wasp.

Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero.

It'll sting slightly.

Out comes a wasp larva.

Then comes the second sting.

The wasp very quickly starts stinging the cockroach.

Ooh, you can certainly feel her sting there!

Now, hold still. This might sting a little.

And here comes the salvation, through this parasitic wasp.

A jewel wasp is flying around, looking for a cockroach.

Suddenly you realize there's a wasp crawling on your arm.

The wasp shakes itself off, climbs out of the burrow, goes and finds another wasp to mate with to start this whole, crazy cycle again.

The wasp takes it all the way down into the burrow.

Now the second sting actually hits two places along the way.

A bee isn't going to sting you if you see it.

Finally the wasp is ready to leave, and that's when the cockroach finally dies because the fulily formed adult wasp crawls out of the cockroach's dying body.

We didn't really appreciate that cockroaches have free will until this wasp showed us.

These are little things, but sometimes it's the little things that sting the most.

Well, the thing is that the jewel wasp makes its house inside a living cockroach.

And when I was five, my parents gave me an orange Schwinn Sting Ray bicycle.

This is a parasitic wasp, again, two millimeters long, slender, a very quick and sharp flier.

The bee dies. Honeybees die when they sting, so they don't want to do it either.

The wasp goes off, it walks away and finds a hole and digs it out, makes it into a burrow.
