It's willful. It's intentional.

It was willful blindness.

Companies that have been studied for willful blindness can be asked questions like,

You can see willful blindness in the Catholic Church, where decades of child abuse went ignored.

You can see willful blindness in banks, when thousands of people sold mortgages to people who couldn't afford them.

But actually that childish misrepresentation stuck with me, because it suddenly became clear to me why we don't do the blindingly obvious things.

Willful blindness exists on epic scales like those, and it also exists on very small scales, in people's families, in people's homes and communities, and particularly in organizations and institutions.

Willful blindness is a legal concept which means, if there's information that you could know and you should know but you somehow manage not to know, the law deems that you're willfully blind.

When I basically was still a willful adolescent till I stopped taking my medication and my, kind of memory of that time is waking up in an adolescent body which is hard enough body to live in anyway, but I wasn't prepared for it.

And similarly for C and D in a decomposition of Y. So now in just purely mechanical way, we can expand the product of X times Y in terms of misrepresentation in terms of these smaller numbers A, B, C and D. So X times Y, by representation, is just the same thing as (10 (N 2) times A B) times quantity (ten to the (N 2) C D).
