Kuwaiti Democracy in Action

AntiSemitism ... is a violation of the party convention.

I thought this was a democracy and I thought the democracy is based to the collective will of the people.

That runs against my principles.

I had a brother who was a conscientious objector.

This february 10th to the 15th, all roads lead to Vancouver.

On the political level the response was the nationalist and fundamentalist revolt of the Maccabees.

So this movement, if it's to be durable and global, will have to cross borders, and you will have to see other citizens in democracies, not simply resting on the assumption that their government would do something in the face of genocide, but actually making it such.

It is against my principles to borrow money.

That is not right!

Actually, exactly the opposite is what I'm going to do.

I acted up to my principles.

Do not forget that fascism, communism, capitalism or other isms are all monetary systems.

Before, revolutions used to have ideological names.

Communist, Nazi, fascist ...

Communism, capitalism...

The Olympic resistance network calls on all anti capitalist, indigenous, housing rights, labor, migrant justice, environmental, anti war, community loving, anti poverty, civil libertarian, and anti colonial activists to come together to confront this two weeks circus and the opression it represents.

You must live up to your principles.

When you make the claim, in fact, that something on the Internet is going to be good for democracy, you often get this reaction.

The Limits of Democracy

The constitution's gone.

What I mean by that is, if the world superpower today was a communist, it would be much easier for democracy activists to use democracy activism as a form of resistance against colonialism, than it is today with the world superpower being America, occupying certain lands and also espousing democratic ideals.

Soviet Union was Communist and it was totalitarian. Communism and democracy are not necessarily things that go against each other.

But the Soviet Union had neither a capitalist system nor a democracy.

So what does this tell us?

We do this in a legitimized way only after our democracy has asked us to do so.

Democracy Comes Second

But, we can escape from this trap, these pincers, I think.

And what do we teach in these schools?

Is that democracy?

Average likelihood is 30 percent, the left inferior frontal gyrus would respond fiercely.

Aren't those just the foundations of xenophobia and authoritarianism and Puritanism?

If you are a Republican, you can take a Democrat to lunch, or if you're a Democrat, think of it as taking a Republican to lunch.

You see, idealism detached from action is just a dream.

You a vegetarian?

You should live up to your principles.

And equality?
