You have 12 share times 10,000 shares

So 12 times 500 million, or let's say 0.5 billion.

So you take 21.50 times 10,000 shares gives us a market cap of 215,000

It's the share price times the number of shares.

Or what are they saying about the equity?

Short for market capitalization the market cap of the company

Another way to think about it is, if the market is paying 12 million per share, what's the market cap of the company?

We're saying that the books of this company are saying this company's worth 8 million.

We know there's a million shares.

limited liability with corporations, the correct market capitalization would be minus 1 billion.

But let's not get too complicated right now, I'll do a bunch of videos on that.

And the market cap of the company is really what's the market's guess of what the shareholders' equity is?

They're the share of owner's equity and not of the asset also gives you a good sense of what market cap is

And maybe this guy's even growing faster, so maybe they're being conservative by only giving this guy a 10 price to earnings.

And so this is our yield.

So the market cap, or what the market perceives the value of this equity is, the market capitalization, is these two numbers.

The average volume right here, this is the number of shares sold per day exchanged per day.

And this calculation, this multiplication of market price per share times the number of shares this is called the market cap

If we do that, we're going to get 2.58 times 2.78 is equal to, exactly well it's a little different than what they had, maybe it's little round off error, but roughly 7 million in market cap.
