And this is the one that I work on, ATLAS.

With this set up, computing the coordinates for the atlas simply involves mapping the tile size to the right offset inside the atlas itself.

Any non zero value represents a tile index for a given atlas.

It's called the ATLAS detector 44 meters wide, 22 meters in diameter.

So, 167 as a tile index, is actually atlas with gid1. Tile 166.

Each atlas that exists inside of the tiled file will have an increasing first GlD.

We're looking at one of the racks that contains the ATLAS proof buster at SLAC.

HTML5 world actually describes that what we use an Atlas. But this is very, very wrong.

Prior to running the game, and artist would take our atlas data and the tile tool.

This is Morocco last year in the Atlas mountains, training in preparation for some high altitude jumps.

Now, this was the name of the original loose asset before it was packed inside of our atlas.

The first two, x and y, represent the top left corner of the chart inside of the atlas.

The next two are width and height, which represent the size of this chart in the atlas itself.

Now, tiled has its own heuristics on what the first GlD should be for each subsequent atlas that's

So, what we see here is that if we have a value of 167 in this data array, and the first GlD of the atlas starts with 1, this effectively means that 167 is the first atlas, tile number 166.

Now, recall once again that the atlas that's being given to us is in raster scan order as well.

The Digital Universe Atlas has been built at the American Museum of Natural History over the past 12 years.

And we'd actually take an atlas off the shelf, and we'd flip through until we found this mysterious country.

And actually, this morning, I got an email saying that we've just finished, today, building the last piece of ATLAS.

The raw data rate coming out of the ATLAS detector that I'm involved in is about a petabyte a second.

gt gt In addition to that atlas we have, we also have a very large and very complex data file.

The parameters we care about keeping track of right now are the total number of tiles crossing down in the atlas.

Once the drawSprite function figures out what atlas this given sprite is actually in, it can pass that data to drawSpritelnternal, handing off the sprite information, what atlas sheet its coming from, as well as the position X and Y that was given to us from drawSprite.

Now, if you recall, this little element here, first GlD, that exists for each atlas that's listed in our tile sets array.

And I thought of maps at the beginning maybe I should just try and do a little atlas of my favorite streets and connections in Rome.

For example, in real time graphics, a texture atlas is a single large image that contains many smaller sub images, each of which can be referenced independently.

The spreadsheet concept only really existed when you needed particles to fly around or a character to make a swipe with his sword, everything else was just an Atlas.

Now, this makes a little bit more sense once you start getting 4 or 5 different atlas layers on there. Right now, it may seem a little bit unknown .

From there, we can do a little simple math, given the localldx and the numXTiles horizontally for this atlas to give us to give us our x and y indexes.

Firstly, all of our map data resides in one large atlas. This allows us to then simply call the canvas.draw image tag to be able to draw subportions to our map.

What's exciting is that over the last two or three years, the government has spent 400 million dollars, and they've allocated another billion dollars, to what we call the Cancer Genome Atlas Project.

This data file represents how the atlas should be rendered to draw the entire map. Now this is a pretty complex file because its actually been generated by an external tool, called tile.
