Alan Turing lead the effort there to break the Enigma Code.

Enigma was the most widely used cypher code by the Nazis.

And so I did this for him. It's sort of a visual canon.

And Alan Turing built machines that could be used to break the Enigma Code.

The Bombe was multiple Enigma rotors chained together, allowing it to rapidly test different key settings.

because the canon computer science many of them are great but the canon of computer science prematurely froze a model of computation based on technology that was available in 1950, and nature's a much more powerful computer than that.

For two parties to communicate using the Enigma, it required that they first shared the daily key settings.

Near the end of the war, the Enigma could be set up in over 150 million million million ways.

During the war, they continually tried to increase the key space of the Enigma, in order to make it stronger.

They were built for one very specific task, for doing a calculation that was useful for breaking Enigma encrypted messages.

During World War Il, one of the most important encryption technologies used by the German military was known as the Enigma.

But we can also look at an Enigma machine from the Nazis in World War II that was a coding and decoding machine.

This gave the German confidence that the allies, even if they have the copy of the Enigma, could never check all possible key settings.

Rama's Journey is more commonly known as the Ramayana. It's a Sanskrit epic that's a very important part of the Hindu canon and it explores human values and Dharma.

He wrote a book over a thousand years ago called The Canon of Medicine, and the rules he laid out for testing medicines are actually really similar to the rules we have today, that the disease and the medicine must be the same strength, the medicine needs to be pure, and in the end we need to test it in people.

wait, dr. peterson. aren't they going to operate on mrs. hendricks? no. an operation isn't the answer in her case. how will she ever see again? she'll see again. it will just take her a little longer. enigma draped in hospital sheets in self imposed darkness with the added sobering thought that claire hendricks is perfectly correct in her own diagnosis. take it as a warning, a cry for humanity or a simple plea for responsibility from the dark places of the twilight zone.
