Will the bailout work?

In Praise of the Taxpayer.

It doesn't bother the taxpayer necessarily.

The American taxpayer bears the risk.

That's just a waste of taxpayer money.

Do you call it the bailout of Greece or the bailout of a load of stupid banks which lent to Greece?

And we are high taxpayer. Where do I find justice?

And, two, what the government's bailout is attempting to do.

Each taxpayer has the right to know where his money goes.

We gotta have to divert... Flight in lower, prepare for bailout.

Yeah, well, that's taxpayer dollars, Miss Dunham, and I haven't approved that.

We do that corporate whether it's a bailout, an oil spill ... a recall.

So the U.S. taxpayer paid for it the World Bank, Exxon paid for it.

Yet another useless joyride at the cost of mere millions to the US taxpayer.

So now let's think about, I talked about what the Fed's bailout proposal is.

But Goldman's boys are well placed among the architects of power and they not only arranged for a huge bailout. but more importantly, they got the taxpayer to pay to save AlG from bankruptcy by up their collapsed loans and that incidentally saved Goldman Sachs from the same fate.

Well anyway, I would argue that there's a lot of moral hazard with the government's current bailout proposal.

And this is the toxic stuff that's the focus of this government bailout, which is really historic in its proportions.

So buried in signage are these structures, that it often takes a moment to distinguish the modern specially constructed taxpayer from its neighbor the small commercial building from an earlier century, whose upper floors have been sealed, and whose groundfloor space now functions as a taxpayer.

A single diagnosis of PTSD can cost up to 1 and a half million dollars in taxpayer funded benefits over a soldier's lifetime.

So I think that the oil blowout, the bank bailout, the mortgage crisis and all these things are absolutely symptoms of the same cause.

Millions of students are paying less for college today because we finally took on a system that wasted billions of taxpayer dollars on banks and lenders.

In the next series of videos, I'm going to give my best attempt at trying to get a handle on the bailout and the financial crisis.

So when I first read the bailout proposal, I said they're going to pay some discount on that, but that's not going to help the situation.

I predict, also, that the investment that will flow into this will be somewhere around half of what the U.S. taxpayer spends for NASA's manned spacecraft work.

It was kind of interesting because in the morning, from 9 to 11, they were discussing the bailout package how many billions to invest in saving the Danish economy.

In a study funded by over 25 million taxpayer dollars, digital mammography was found to be no better over all than traditional mammography, and in fact, it was worse in older women.

Masquerading as an international sporting event, but benefitting the military industrial complex, sucking billions of taxpayer dollars from host cities, displacing the homeless, criminalizing the poor, devastating the environment, and stealing indigenous lands.

It's important because you have no idea the number of excuses people come up with to hang onto their data and not give it to you, even though you've paid for it as a taxpayer.

But you do want Germany to put up more money, do you not, to make this bailout fund, the firewall, bigger, as Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner s been urging, as the IMF has been urging?

But I'm going to segue to another thing that relates, because one of my private campaigns I've been conducting for over three and a half years is for transparency and accountability around the bailout of CL Financial.

And what that means is before we know it, the progress in human space flight, with no taxpayer dollars, will be at a level of about five times as much as the current NASA budgets for human space flight.

So if you look at this in the context of visualizing the bailout, what you can see is if you stack up dollar bills, first of all, 360,000 dollars is about the size of a five foot four guy.

We have the high income countries here, with the United States as a leading power we have the emerging economies in the middle, which provide a lot of the funding for the bailout and we have the low income countries here.

And it's worth adding that IBM became the global giant in computing in large measure thanks to the magnificence of the US taxpayer who substantially funded the core of the IT revolution and most of the rest of the high tech economy.

To this day, I find it remarkable that anybody, even at the most remote podunk field office of the FBI thought that a fitting use for taxpayer dollars was investigating people for criminal theft on the grounds that they had made the law public.

These scholarly journals and articles are essentially the entire wealth of human knowledge online, and many have been paid for with taxpayer money or with government grants, but to read them, you often have to pay again handing over steep fees to publishers like Reed Elsevier.

But I read this fact the other day, that one trillion seconds equals 32 thousand years, so if you think about that, the context, the casualness with which we talk about trillion dollar bailout here, and trillion there, we are stacking ourselves up for long term leverage.

So when the bailout plan first came out and they said we'll create this 700 billion fund to buy some of these toxic assets. and at first they said we'll buy them at a discount and we'll hold them to maturity and then we might even make a profit.
